Stone Paper Scissors

Stone Histories

William Feeney
Stone Histories is a community sculpture park commissioned by the City of San Diego, Public Art Master Plan for the entry to the community of Emerald Hills. Developed in collaboration with artist, Gwendolyn Gomez and local elementary school children, the steel sculptures were created for a hillside park setting with benches, pathways and native California Oak trees. Students researched the history of the site and created drawings that were then cut from the boulder shaped pieces of steel. Stone Histories was completed 1993. See where this in on the Art Map.
