Stone Paper Scissors integrates community voice and vision into the cultural and physical landscape through public art and education. Stone Paper Scissors has won many art, design and planning awards for community based public projects ranging from educational playgrounds to sculptural video installations. Some of the conceptual elements that link the projects are the incorporation of educational components that reveal a sense of history and culture, and an awareness of the context of the site experienced through processes of discovery or exploration. The art encourages an active engagement through interactive components, auditory and kinetic elements, utilizing light and shadow, asking questions, or telling a story in symbols or multiple languages.
